About 1.5 million people in the United States have Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). Nearly three times as many women have the disease as men. In women, RA begins often around age 30. In men, it often occurs later in life.
Our foundations quest is to ensure that medical research is being done, so we know what factors in the environment cause triggers to patients with RA. There is currently no cure for RA – we are going to change that.
A vital part of the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundations belief and mission is, to make sure that RA sufferers lives are sustainable and get the support needed while working with leading hospitals, doctors and researchers to find more effective ways to treat RA and — ultimately — cure it, or even prevent it from occurring in the first place.
This is the reason, why funding is imperative to so many that live their lives daily with this devastating disease.
